About OAKS
OAKS is a Christian school that seeks to inspire its students to think deeply, live fully, serve unselfishly, and love God completely.
Our School
OAKS is a Christian school tucked away in the rolling hills of Southeastern Tennessee. It is located just minutes from Southern Adventist University in Ooltewah, TN, only ten minutes from Hamilton Place, and a scenic twenty minute drive from downtown Chattanooga.
Our conservative community believes that children should be allowed to grow up in an unhurried, yet richly enhanced learning environment… and we want JESUS infused in everything they learn. If the world’s self-centered messages to our families and young people do not appeal to you… OAKS may just be the place for your family.
OAKS is operated by the Ooltewah Seventh-day Adventist Church and is part of a world-wide network of elementary schools, secondary schools, and colleges & universities that include over 1,000 schools and 10,500 teachers.

Mission
OAKS is a Christian organization that seeks to inspire its students to think deeply, live fully, serve unselfishly, and love God completely.
Philosophy
OAKS recognizes that God is the Creator and Sustainer and the Source of knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge of this personal God is derived from divine revelation as found in the Bible, nature, and human reason.
The ultimate aim of the student is to be restored in the image of God. The student will, through an experiential relationship with Christ, accept service as a principle of life and will serve home, church, and community.
Classroom Size
OAKS offers grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. OAKS intentionally offers a small classroom setting in order to meet the unique gifts and needs of its students. All of our classroom teachers teach one grade with a maximum teacher-student ratio of 1:16 in Kindergarten and 1:20 in first through eighth grade. Additionally, our Kindergarten through second grade classrooms have full-time teacher’s assistants.
